Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Manages project(s) in accordance with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Collaborates with disciplines and subconsultants to develop a risk adverse project scope and fee.
- Create and maintain project schedules.
- Manage subconsultants
- Monitor and execute project progress, including identifying and mitigate risks, developing extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals.
- Communicate project status, updates, and issues to internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in office’s project financial status meetings.
- Build relationships with client(s) to understand preferences and requirements to set-up and execute a quality project.
- Prepare progress reports and review invoices.
- Develop and lead in project status and presentations
- Assist Section Heads, Office Leaders, and Practice Leaders with the marketing process including, SMART Go/No Go decisions, proposal development, interviews, and developing a win strategy.
- Collaborating with Section Head and Office Leader on identifying leads and opportunities based on strategic goals.
- Assist Section Head and Office Leader with developing strategic goals based on client's program information, etc.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of clients and other industry stakeholders.
- Cookordination and guide all technical resources within the project team to ensure the delivery of a high-quality outcome.
- Leveraging advanced knowledge and experience with the client and project type to analyze the project, anticipate potential risks (such as overruns and scope changes), and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Implement strategies for project tracking and reporting by using project performance metrics to foresee and mitigate issues.
- Providing coaching and mentorship to the project team through one-on-one check-in meetings and various project debriefs to acknowledge achievements, identify areas for improvement, and share lessons learned.
- Lead and manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meeting, coaching) that supports the growth and development of team.
Required Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited engineering program
- Professional Engineer License
- 15+ years’ experience in Water/Wastewater project design and management
Required Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong Communication Skills
- Strong Presentation Skills
Preferred Experience
- CAPM or PMP
- Experience working with local clients at the county and state level
- Project management and business development experience
- Experience with multiple project delivery methods i.e. Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3
- Experience managing multidiscipline project teams
