Water/Wastewater Project Manager
About the role
GFT is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join their Practice or CBG Team in New Jersey. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at the office in either Marlton, NJ or East Brunswick, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Participating in and leading project teams in the planning, design and construction administration of municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure facilities.
- Client interaction, presentations and project coordination.
- Coinciding work activities by various technical staff and consultants including developing and implementing study and design standards for consultants to follow, leading progress meetings, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, tracking project schedules, and budgets.
- Coinciding work activities and communicating with various municipalities and governmental regulating agencies.
- Preparation of reports and permit applications.
- Overseeing and mentoring junior-level engineers.
- Demonstrating professional technical writing and verbal skills.
- Involvement in the engineering industry in general and especially in the water/wastewater industry.
Requirements
- BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 10 + years of experience required in water/wastewater discipline, particularly as a water/wastewater engineer designing (study, plans and specifications) water and/or wastewater infrastructure (i.e. treatment and collection/distribution projects)
- Professional Engineer License (PE) required
- Progressive experience in the evaluation, design, permitting and construction administration of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, water storage and distribution facilities, and wastewater collection systems
- Budget and schedule monitoring and control responsibilities
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Client relations and business development
- Leader and team player possessing strong planning and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation.
Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or BIM

Pay
The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $180,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
