Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

Our Project Managers and Engineers collaborate with a team of local Hawaii-based small businesses to deliver the most challenging projects from Diego Garcia to Hawaii, from Australia to Japan. Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for performing complex assignments utilizing judgment in performing engineering analyses and design.
- Work on project teams including Senior Engineers and EITs on the design of site development and water infrastructure projects including water and wastewater treatment systems.
- Design site and utility infrastructure systems related to drinking water, wastewater, and water resources including the development and preparation of the construction plans, specifications, and estimates of construction cost.
- Prepare preliminary engineering reports or studies.
- Complete engineering calculations to support design decisions and recommendations.
- Perform site visits and field investigations when required.
- Assist with engineering services during construction including review of material submittals and requests for information.
- Function as a project manager on small and medium-sized projects as needed.
- Supervise and mentor entry-level engineers.
- Work with the local team to perform marketing and business development activities as needed.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
- Previous experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects.

Pay
Honolulu: $75,926 - $124,735 (depends on skills, experience, education, and geographical location).
Schedule
Full-time.
This position can be based in Honolulu or Maui, Hawaii.
