About the role

A growing, multidisciplinary engineering and infrastructure consulting firm is seeking a Project Engineer with a strong focus in Water/Wastewater to join its Baton Rouge OR Shreveport team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, design, and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects and multidisciplinary services.
  • Conduct engineering analyses and evaluations to support municipal infrastructure improvements.
  • Develop planning studies, technical reports, and infrastructure assessments.
  • Design water distribution, treatment, wastewater collection, and treatment systems.
  • Evaluate existing infrastructure and develop rehabilitation and improvement recommendations.
  • Cook up project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client communications.
  • Attend client meetings and provide technical guidance throughout project delivery.
  • Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable engineering standards, regulations, and quality-control procedures.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: 5+ years of water/wastewater engineering and design experience.
  • Experience: Delivering municipal infrastructure projects from planning through design and construction support.
  • Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license in Louisiana required.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and ESRI/GIS products; Strong understanding of water and wastewater system design principles; Hydraulic modeling experience preferred; Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project; Excellent communication, project management, and client-facing skills.
