Water & Wastewater Process Design Engineer
What Your Day Will Look Like
Water/Wastewater Process Design Engineer with professional engineering credentials, leveraging strong engineering fundamentals to plan, design, and analyze water and wastewater treatment infrastructure. Leads assigned process design tasks, collaborates with multidisciplinary project teams, and ensures deliverables comply with technical standards, regulatory requirements, and client objectives. Committed to continuous development of professional judgment, technical depth, and leadership capabilities within complex infrastructure projects.
What You'll Do
- Develop and review process and facility design plans, engineering calculations, and technical documentation for water and wastewater pipelines, pump stations, and treatment systems.
- Apply industry engineering standards, design codes, and regulatory criteria to ensure technical accuracy and compliance throughout project delivery.
- Perform hydraulic modeling, flow analysis, and system performance evaluations to inform planning, design, and operational decisions.
- Cook up and coordinate design efforts with internal disciplines, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies to support seamless project execution.
- Provide technical support to project managers, including design input, cost estimating, constructability considerations, and quality control reviews across project phases.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline.
- 4+ years of water and wastewater process engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil 3D software is a plus.
