Water/Wastewater Maintenance Mechanic II

About the role

The Water/Wastewater Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of water and wastewater systems. This includes but is not limited to:

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues in water and wastewater systems.
• Install and maintain water and wastewater treatment equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Respond to emergency calls and perform urgent repairs as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater maintenance or similar field.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with SCADA systems.
• First aid and CPR certification.

Pay

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
