Responsibilities
- Production of contract documents including plans and specifications
- Pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations
- Pump calculations and development of system curves for sizing pumps
- Water and Wastewater treatment process engineering and design support
- Prepares construction and design cost estimates
- Develops project specific specifications
- Performs engineering duties in planning and designing water and wastewater pipelines, pumping, storage, and treatment systems
- Responsible for or willing to learn project management, client interface and business development of future projects
- Makes site visits during design and construction to inspect facilities
- Reviews construction shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project design documents
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalent
- Experience or specific course work in water and wastewater systems is a plus
- Successful completion of the FE exam (EIT) or the ability to complete in the first 6 months
- Ability to work and communicate well with other design disciplines
- Possesses strong organizational and time management skills
- Able to work independently
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS is a plus
- Participation in AWWA, WEF, ASCE and other professional organizations as well as joining a committee would be a plus

STV is seeking a professional Water/Wastewater Engineering Specialist to join our Water/Wastewater division in either Oklahoma City, OK.
Skills
