We’re seeking a Civil and Environmental Engineering Intern with an interest in Water/Wastewater Engineering to support the delivery of cutting-edge projects for both local and global clients in Cary, NC.

As a W/WW Engineering Intern your work could include a variety of water/wastewater treatment, conveyance, storage, and/or water resources projects including:

  • Providing field investigations, design, and studies for full-scale water and wastewater treatment facilities
  • Conducting water treatment facility pilots, evaluations, design, and commissioning

About the role

This position will be open for at least 3 days.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with water/wastewater treatment, conveyance, storage, and/or water resources projects
  • Perform field investigations and design tasks for full-scale water and wastewater treatment facilities
  • Conduct pilots, evaluations, design, and commissioning for water treatment facilities
  • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver client projects
  • Receive mentorship from professional engineers, scientists, and senior technical staff

Requirements

  • Enrollment in a degree-seeking program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems or Chemical Engineering or another closely related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future

Qualifications

  • Previous intern experience with a consulting or engineering firm
  • Relevant coursework or projects
  • EIT certification or on track to obtain
