Water/Wastewater Engineer
Job Description
In this role, you will work directly with communities across the country to assess infrastructure needs, develop solutions, and secure funding for critical projects. Your efforts will help communities address essential challenges in providing safe, clean drinking water and safeguarding water quality.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state, or the ability and commitment to obtain a PE license within 12 months of hire
- 5+ years of relevant experience in municipal water or wastewater system planning and design, with exposure to a variety of treatment systems; experience with funding, financing, and governance frameworks for Capital Improvement Programs is a plus
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support community projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to diverse stakeholders
