Water/Wastewater Engineer

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Water Team in Winter Springs, FL.

About the Role

Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions for water and wastewater systems. Take ownership of complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and advance technical capabilities for sustainable communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for water and wastewater projects.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staff.
• Monitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues in vital water infrastructure.
• Complete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting sustainable and cost-effective solutions.
• Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required.
• Water/wastewater and/or municipal engineering experience preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Skills

• Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred.

Pay

Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000. Salary is based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
