Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ability to safely and productively perform driving operations using a variety of equipment.
- Communicate as well as listen effectively.
- Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all personnel.
- Perform all duties safely and productively to ensure quality work.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections to identify any safety and maintenance issues.
- Accurately complete daily vehicle inspection forms.
- Perform daily housekeeping on truck.
- Safely operate and maintain truck.
- Properly load, secure & unload material.
- Accurately complete load tickets where applicable.
- Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations.
- Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
- Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.).
- Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
- Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One or more years’ experience operating commercial vehicles.
- Knowledge of the aspects of construction operations.
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and CDL required.
- Ability to work day shifts and night shifts. Shifts may vary according to project demands.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel if job requires.
- Passes a pre-employment drug screen.
