Responsibilities
- Demonstrate safe and productive driving operations using various equipment.
- Communicate and listen effectively.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all personnel.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections to identify safety and maintenance issues.
- Complete daily vehicle inspection forms.
- Perform daily housekeeping on the truck.
- Safely operate and maintain the truck.
- Accurately load, secure, and unload materials.
- Complete load tickets accurately when applicable.
- Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written).
- Work with difficult people under high stress situations.
- Maintain positive customer relations and act courteously/respectfully of others.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.).
- Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One or more years’ experience operating commercial vehicles.
- Knowledge of construction operations.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and CDL required.
- Able to work day shifts and night shifts, with shifts varying based on project demands.
- Able to work in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel if job requires.
- Passes a pre-employment drug screen.
