Water Truck Driver

About the role

Operate a water truck to maintain dust control on access roads, equipment haul roads, public dumping areas, and during green-waste grinding or construction & demolition processing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain dust control on all access roads, equipment haul roads, and public dumping areas
• Maintain dust control for green waste grinding and/or construction & demolition processing
• Maintain leachate tank and/or sump pump levels
• Water and compact freshly placed dirt
• Place water in excavation areas for moisture and dust control
• Pick up illegally dumped material and waste on and off site
• Pick up e-Waste from tipping table and deliver to e-Waste storage
• Make repairs to fence, flume, and drainage as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by the direct Operations Supervisor
• Work overtime as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma and/or GED
• Valid Class B driver License with tanker endorsement and no air brake or automatic transmission restrictions
• Acceptable driving record
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations

• Bilingual – English/Spanish

• Works outside only

Pay

$25.34 per hour (includes prevailing wage, which combines the basic hourly wage and the value of fringe benefits).
