About the role
The Water Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining water treatment facilities to ensure safe and reliable water supply.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor water treatment processes to maintain quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and protect workers and the environment.
- Document all activities and report any issues to supervisors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Experience in water treatment operations or related field preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of water treatment processes and regulations.
Skills
- Proficient in using water treatment equipment and instruments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
