Water Team Leader
About the role
The Mississippi Water Team Leader will manage the design execution and overall project management of water and wastewater projects through all phases of delivery, including design reports, studies, technical memoranda, detailed plans, and specifications. This role will involve coordination with clients, other support disciplines, regulatory agencies, and quality assurance and quality control.
Responsibilities
- Leading a team in the design execution and overall project management of a variety of projects related to water conveyance and distribution, wastewater conveyance and collection, pipeline inspection and rehabilitation, water and wastewater master planning, and water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Coordinating with other support disciplines, coordinating with regulating agencies, and conducting quality assurance and quality control.
- Periodic travel may be required for projects, conferences, marketing, and other duties.
Qualifications
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Must have 6 or more years of similar technical experience in the water sector with no less than three years of experience in project/team leadership.
- Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (PE).
- Previous experience having been in responsible charge of designs, including detailed plans and specifications, for water and wastewater projects.
- Strong knowledge base of engineering principals related to water and wastewater infrastructure and/or facility projects.
- Basic understanding of multi-disciplined practices required for the implementation of water/wastewater infrastructure improvements.
- Strong communication skills.
- Passionate about client service and the water industry.
- Strong work ethic.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
