In the role of Water Supply Business Class Leader, we'll count on you to: Support Arizona / New Mexico Water Resources Management Market Sector initiatives, projects, marketing, clients, growth, BC coordination, and maintain open communication with staff and the leadership teamAssist and lead Section Managers on tasks related to BC operations with a focus on local and national workload support, staffing needs, and coordination of hiring efforts Manage complex multidisciplinary WS programs and projects including scope, schedule, budget, risk and coordination with multiple agencies and stakeholdersWork with Arizona’s leadership team to address issues related to delivery, to support and lead communications, and to obtain approvals for BC operationsAttend and participate in national workload calls. Coordinate with the national WS team and BC Director, as neededAssist and/or lead pursuits of a variety of WS related projectsPrepare and/or review scopes and fees related to WS BC projectsLead, mentor, and support mid and senior level staffCommitment to actively manage the BC, staff, and provide timely supportProactively plan, organize, track, and evaluate BC work and support needsProvide strategic and technical oversight of surface and groundwater modeling, water supply planning, agency coordination, and overall project implementationPerform technical engineering assignments that may require critical thinking and creativity to address unique elements that have limited or no specific code-based guidancePerform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Hydraulics, Water Resources, or a related field from an accredited four year college or universityMinimum of ten years of related work experience, including experience in Water Supply Planning projectsMaintains a Professional Engineering registration and has related technical experienceProven business development in the Southwest, with an understanding of measurable goalsExperience with software used on planning projects.Ability to function as a leader and an active team player in a diverse multidisciplinary environmentExperience with liaising with and coordinating staff at all levelsStrong communication and presentation skills.Organized and mission drivenActively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand Experience with Arizona water resources and Colorado River policy Ability to work effectively in complex political and institutional environments and build trusted relationships with senior agency and stakeholder leadership Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field 10 years of experience Committed to quality, improvement and HDR valuesMaintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experienceExperienced in development and management of diverse teamsWorks cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
