About the role

The Water Spider monitors stock supplies around workstations, replenishes materials and tools as needed, communicates shortages to management, and supports production processes to ensure uninterrupted flow.

Work Environment: Farmington, CT – onsite, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Ensure raw materials and parts are supplied where and when needed by prepping jobs for operators in advance of the next day’s production schedule.
• Replenish materials and supplies as needed.
• Manage inventory by performing daily cycle counts and assisting in full inventory counts.
• Proactively verify low-count inventory as new orders are confirmed.
• Transport finished goods to the warehouse.
• Transport excess materials and return to stock.
• Remove waste.
• Assist with receiving and sorting of plating materials and placing them into the correct warehouse location.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• 1 year of manufacturing experience on a plant floor.
• Basic reading comprehension and writing skills; ability to work from verbal and written instructions.
• Capability to work with computer terminals and complete routine paperwork.
• Quality and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle last-minute requests.
• Handle multiple transactions, including researching system discrepancies.
• Ability to regularly bend, reach, crouch, and lift up to 35 pounds.
• Able to stand and work for 8 hours.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems such as JDE/Oracle preferred.
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods preferred.
• Good organizational and time management skills.

Pay

Pay range: $20–$24/hour. Individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
