About the role

Responsibilities
- Use mobile tablet to receive, document and close out excavation notices.
- Read and interpret utility maps / prints to identify the type and size of underground utilities.
- Effectively communicate with excavators, utility reps, and company personnel, regarding underground facilities.
- Operate different electronic detection equipment, to locate and mark under-ground facilities within prescribed accuracy limits.
- Provide accurate documentation and or sketches related to all locates completed.
- Receive and respond to excavation notices in accordance with established time requirements.
- Operate company vehicle in a safe manner and maintain professional appearance.
- Perform work in all weather conditions.
- Thoroughly read emails, checking emails/text messages often, acknowledge and follow up on emails that are sent to you.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
- Education: High School Diploma, or GED.
- Experience: A One-year related experience, or an equivalent combination of construction knowledge.
- Preferred Qualifications: One year of utility locate experience.

Pay
Salary to be commensurate with experience. The hiring range for this position is $24.07 - $30.09 per hour.
Schedule
Continuously traveling to multiple jobsites in a single day, occasionally working in confined spaces, and attending scheduled meetings and or training events.
Working Conditions
- Works primarily outdoors in all-weather elements.
- Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time.
- Must be able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day while carrying materials weighing between 40 and 50 pounds.
- Must be able to ride in a vehicle for up to four hours to travel to and from job sites.
- Must be able to work in different temperatures and changing weather conditions.
- Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
- Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
- Must have flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the business.
Essential Personnel
May be required to work as essential personnel during local emergencies or disasters.
