About the role

Miller Pipeline is hiring Sewer Locators to use robotic CCTV camera equipment to inspect, locate, and map sanitary and storm sewer systems. The position involves data entry, equipment maintenance, communication with city utility departments, and various field tasks related to sewer construction and repair.

Responsibilities

• Properly lift tools, objects and equipment of varying weight.
• Enter data on PC video recording software.
• Perform regular maintenance of mechanical and electronic equipment.
• Use a receiver to accurately locate sewer mains and laterals.
• Legibly draw sewer maps of construction areas.
• Communicate with city utility departments.
• Transfer data between rig and central servers.
• Drive pickup truck/trailer or full‑sized van classified as a CMV.
• Set up and maintain a safe job site and safe work practices.
• Compress soil and asphalt.
• Shovel material, soil, and cold‑patch asphalt mix.
• Operate vehicles used for hauling.
• Assist in demolition, take‑up, and reconditioning of old pipe.
• Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.
• Repair backfilled trench areas with grass seed or asphalt.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Professional or personal use of computers and electronics.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Clean driving record and a DOT physical, or ability to obtain one upon employment.
• Ability to drive a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) and travel regionally, responding to emergency situations.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year in robotic CCTV operation or utility locating.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
