About the role
This position involves producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects. It includes consulting with the project manager for research, development, calculations, design, and delivery. The role requires applying engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria, addressing design-related issues, and mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Planning and distributing discipline-specific work, adhering to schedules and budgets on projects.
- Aiding in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
- Developing scope of work and level of effort for projects and assignments within the technical discipline.
- Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of project team’s work within the technical discipline.
- Guiding and mentoring the team towards overall project objectives.
- Coordinating technical aspects of projects with client counterparts and teaming partners at staff level for work within the discipline.
- Collaborating with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience, or
- Master’s degree in Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience, or
- PhD in Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience.
Preferred
- Experience with local clients (Municipalities, DOTs, and/or Corps of Engineers).
- Master’s degree in Engineering with 8 years of relevant experience.
