Pay

The salary range for this position is $98,646.30 to $147,969.45 USD. In addition to base salary, employees may be entitled to other forms of compensation depending on the type, duties, or location of the position.

Schedule

Job Responsibilities And Duties

  • Software: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Market Sector Software (water resource, GIS, and CAD software)
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced understanding of technical fundamentals, Washington State stormwater regulations, WSDOT and WDFW fish passage experience and guidelines
  • Teamwork: Functions as a discipline leader on large or complex projects, Provides clear communication and direction, Sets expectations, and takes responsibility for results of the team
  • Project Delivery: Leads the production of and provides quality control for the following: Site investigations, Design calculations, Technical reports and memos, Exhibits and figures, Construction quantity calculations and cost estimates, Design documents and construction plans, Complete technical sections of permit applications, Presentation content and slides, Prepare content for bidding addenda, Construction inspection of designed components
  • Budget and Schedule: Advanced understanding of scopes, schedules, and budgets, Develops budgets and schedules for complex projects in conjunction with the project manager, Breaks down complex projects into logical tasks
  • Industry Standards and Regulations: Identifies, interprets, and employs design codes and technical guidance documents, Actively mentors others on interpreting and understanding limitations of design codes and technical guidance
  • Client Interaction: Frequent direct communications with clients on large/complex projects, Leads technical client project meetings, Understands appropriate messaging and legal risks, Participates in project interviews
  • Other: Performs other duties as assigned

Level of Work/Accountability

Primarily performs advanced technical tasks on demanding, complex projects for the market sector. Operates with a high level of autonomy. Reviews the work of others. Mentors others with less experience. May provide some project management services.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, and use hands. The employee must occasionally navigate uneven terrain during site visits for engineering investigations and construction observation. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
