About the role
Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. We are actively looking for a Junior level Water Resources Engineer to join our Seattle office.
Responsibilities
- Performs 1D and 2D riverine and coastal hydraulic modeling
- Performs numerical modeling in support of stormwater and drainage improvements projects
- Prepares plans, specifications, and cost estimates, in support of final bid packages
- Participates in design activities and meetings between project team members, subcontractors, and client managers
- Participates in project decisions regarding technical approaches, feasibility, cost, construction approaches, and scheduling performance
- Prepares written and graphic reports and makes presentations
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Master’s Degree preferred
- 2 - 6+ years of experience
- Completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Qualifications
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with team members and project managers
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to gain expertise in specialized stormwater and hydraulic models
- Working knowledge of software programs and techniques, which should include the following or equivalent programs: HEC-RAS, ESRI GIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office

Pay
Base Salary Range: $85,000 to $115,000 annually based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting the required qualifications in the job description.
Schedule
Minimal travel required. On occasion may travel to another office or project site within 90 miles radius.
