The Opportunity

RS&H is currently seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our team in either our St. Charles or Chicago, IL office.

About the role

We Are Looking For Someone With The Following Experience:

  • Watershed delineation and determination of hydrological parameters
  • Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
  • Stormwater drainage analysis and design
  • Experience using ICPR, SWMMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HY-8, SRH-2D, and ArcGIS products
  • Plan production utilizing OpenRoads Designer, SUDA, and/or Civil 3D
  • Prior experience with IDOT projects
  • Preparation of Contract Plans, Specifications, Estimates, and Permit Applications

Requirements

To Be Successful In This Role, You Must Have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program and minimum seven years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Be a licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Possess additional certifications like a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) or have completed advanced training in SRH-2D
  • Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
  • Proficient in production software, construction document production, and the preparation of engineering reports.
  • Experience working on parts of major projects or multiple moderate-size projects and providing technical guidance to junior-level staff, including reviewing others' work for technical accuracy.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, team members, and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Additional certifications like a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM)
  • Advanced training in SRH-2D

Benefits

Salary Range: ($106,960 - $171,181) — for this location . The final agreed upon compensation is commensurate with experience relative to the position and/or primary work location.
