Water Resources Engineer/Designer

Summary

A full-service engineering firm in Charlotte, North Carolina, is seeking a Water Resources Engineer/Designer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stormwater drainage planning, research, modeling and design. Responsibilities

- Plan, design and develop stormwater drainage solutions for roadway and street projects. - Conduct research, modeling and analysis to support project planning and execution. - Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for design and drafting. - Collaborate with project managers, engineers and stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. - Prepare reports, calculations and project documentation. - Assist with permitting and regulatory coordination.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. - Minimum 4 years of experience in stormwater drainage design, particularly for roadway and street drainage. - Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required. - Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. - Experience with one or more of the following software is a plus: - ArcGIS - StormCAD - Flowmaster - HY8 - CulvertMaster - HEC-RAS - HydroCAD - AdobePro - ICPR
