Water Resources Engineer

Join CHA Consulting, Inc. as a Water Resources Engineer in Albany, NY, supporting water resources tasks on bridge engineering projects and contributing to hydraulic and hydrologic analyses for critical transportation infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for bridge projects
• Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates
• Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for bridge safety and durability
• Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in bridge design, evaluation, and inspection

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
• No experience required; prior internships and/or relevant coursework are preferred
• Strong theoretical foundation and familiarity with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team
• Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus

Pay

Salary Range: $72,000 - $78,000. Salary is based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
