Water Project Manager

AE2S has an exciting opportunity for a Water Project Manager in Great Falls, MT, leading meaningful infrastructure projects such as Water Treatment Plants, Water Resource Recovery Facilities, Booster Stations, and Lift Stations. Responsibilities

  • Provide professional services for water/wastewater engineering projects including planning, study, design, and construction administration
  • Manage performance and mentor project team members (Project Engineers, Junior Engineers, Technicians)
  • Maintain existing client relationships and develop new ones
  • Identify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities
  • Ensure quality control and quality assurance on all project work
  • Maintain budgets and schedules of project assignments
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Colorado or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • 8+ years consulting experience in water
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development
  • Ability to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and team members
  • Prior project management experience
  • Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in civil engineering or related field
  • 10+ years consulting experience for municipal water/wastewater systems
  • Proven client relationships
  • Knowledge of CDPHE design standards
  • Knowledge of CDPHE water regulations and permitting

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk up to 3 miles on uneven terrain
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods
  • Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 20 pounds, rarely up to 50 pounds)
  • Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify errors or defects
  • May require wearing Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including flame-resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
  • May require occasional evenings, weekends, and overtime
  • May require travel to off-site locations, including occasional overnight stays

Pay

Anticipated starting salary: $98,100 to $119,900 (DOE, subject to variation based on education, experience, and skillset).
