About the role
The Town of Hartford, Vermont is seeking a Water Operator I to perform routine tasks related to the operation and maintenance of the Town’s two water treatment facilities, distribution systems, and storage tanks. Administrative duties include meter reading, water sampling, and data/record management.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain water treatment facilities and distribution systems
- Perform meter reading and water sampling
- Manage data and records
- Operate and repair equipment
- Miscellaneous administrative tasks
Requirements
- Ability to achieve a Vermont Grade 3 Water Certification within 2 years of hire
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to achieve a Class B Commercial Driver License within one year of hire
- Valid driver’s license
- Self-motivated team player
Pay
$23.20 to $29.29 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
