Water Operations Specialist

Brief Description

F&V Operations and Resource Management (FVOP) is a highly successful, employee-owned and growth-oriented company that assists municipal clients providing water and wastewater treatment plant operation services. Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water distribution systems (mains, valves, and hydrants).
• Respond to water system emergencies.
• Perform water sampling and monitoring.
• Perform laboratory analysis for water quality parameters.
• Perform housekeeping and facility maintenance.
• Keep accurate records.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED (or equivalent) is required.
• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least one year of relevant water treatment experience is required.
• Possession of a Class S-4 or higher Michigan municipal drinking water certification is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.
• The ability to follow oral and written technical directions is necessary.
• The ability to multi-task, prioritize, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment is required.
• Effective teamwork and willingness to contribute are valued traits.
