Water Jet and Laser Operator Level 1 to 3

Responsibilities

• Operate metal cutting machines such as shear, laser, water jet and finishing equipment.
• Place work pieces in machines and complete specified operations on job travelers.
• Interpret blueprints and part specifications to select appropriate materials, tools, and fabrication processes.
• Utilize G-code programming formats.
• Select proper inspection tools to verify product conformity to specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years working with NC, CNC, lasers, punches, and water jets in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience with AUTO CAD, Flow Jet and MAZAK operating software and ability to open and view DXF, DWG and PDF files.
• Good math skills including basic trigonometry.
• General mechanical skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds with ease and possess good coordination and balance.
• Basic familiarity with hand tools, shear, laser and water jet.
• Solid programming skills using G-code format.
• High school diploma or GED.
