Water Conveyance Project Manager

As a Water Conveyance Project Manager in our Bellevue, WA office, you'll have the opportunity to lead complex and meaningful conveyance projects, shape long-term client relationships, and influence the growth of our regional water practice. Responsibilities

• Lead a team of highly qualified and motivated engineers through the design process
• Interact directly with clients to develop and deliver technical conveyance solutions
• Mentor ambitious mid-level engineers
• Act as a highly competent seller-doer, empowered to develop and manage projects in a trusting and supported environment
• Serve as a Project Manager/Design Manager leading a technical team, performing technical tasks, and coordinating resources to accomplish multiple, concurrent water infrastructure projects
• Provide planning and design related management and technical support for various types of conveyance systems including open channel flow and low-pressure conduit, flow control structures, and pump stations and force mains
• Perform other water-related civil infrastructure evaluations as assigned
• Lead business development activities to grow the Bellevue office
• Work with key clients resulting in acquisition of new projects and perform the role of Project Manager supporting various projects and programs within a defined client portfolio
• Lead and manage project teams throughout all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout; consistent with established project delivery processes to meet scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements
• Apply conveyance technical expertise to lead and mentor staff, form long-term relationships with clients, pursue new work, and build water client portfolios, including strategy development, positioning, proposing, and negotiating contracts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, and/or Environmental Engineering
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required. If not a Washington State PE, must be able to obtain within one year of hire
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive civil engineering experience
• Demonstrated ability to manage scope, budget, schedule, and technical quality across complex infrastructure projects

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Experience serving various clients involving a wide variety of fields including conveyance pipeline design, project management, water/wastewater pump station design
• Demonstrated ability to lead the design and preparation of plans, specifications, estimates, studies, proposals and/or reports

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $106,000.00 to $185,400.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
