Responsibilities
- Maintain daily compliance with the facility’s new stormwater permit.
- Prepare comprehensive state and federal reports.
- Review and oversee recordkeeping requirements.
- Review new and proposed shipyard processes and equipment affecting stormwater pollution.
- Compose environmental permitting applications related to facility construction projects.
- Oversee/monitor construction projects to ensure environmental compliance.
Requirements
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Effective in writing and communicating.
- Daily interface with Operations, Management, the customer and regulatory personnel.
Qualifications
- 5+ years post-graduate, technical experience working on construction projects or environmental consulting/permitting.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related science.
- Preferred: Experience using drafting software (AutoCad), experience with environmental regulations and permitting.

- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Team attitude and willingness to collaborate with team members and other organizations.
- Highly motivated and requires little supervision.
- Self-starter and possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
