Contract position focused on product compliance for a fixed-installation system deployed in Client Fulfillment Centers (FCs) across the United States, Canada, European Union, and United Kingdom. Responsibilities include design review, testing, and certification to applicable Product Safety and EMI/EMC standards for these markets.
Responsibilities
- Conduct design reviews, testing, and certification activities to demonstrate compliance with applicable standards for the US, Canadian, EU, and UK markets.
- Review electrical schematics and circuit diagrams against selected safety standards.
- Evaluate component selection (e.g., fuses, transformers, capacitors, connectors, power inlet) and gather datasheets to generate a Critical Components List (CCL) or Component Data File (CDF).
- Review user documentation as required by the standards.
- Compile and deliver a package of artifacts to support product safety NRTL and CE/UKCA certification.
- Collaborate with the design team to stage, verify, and operate the equipment under test (EUT) for safety evaluation.
- Ensure all required nameplate information is provided and accurate.
- Identify and resolve non-compliant issues in collaboration with the design team.
- Support third-party test houses and internal labs throughout the regulatory certification process.
- Gather, generate, and deliver all documentation and evidence required to populate the Technical Construction File (TCF).
- Perform any additional activities required to obtain NRTL and CE/UKCA certification.
Project Timeline
- Two test samples will be provided during the first week of September 2026.
- All testing, certification, and documentation activities must be completed by December 31, 2026.
Preferred Skills
- Experience reviewing electrical schematics and circuit diagrams for compliance with safety standards.
- Knowledge of critical safety components (e.g., fuses, transformers, capacitors, connectors).
- Familiarity with generating a Critical Components List (CCL) or Component Data File (CDF).
- Ability to review and ensure completeness of user documentation per regulatory standards.
- Experience collaborating with third-party test houses for NRTL, CE, and UKCA certifications.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with design teams and resolve compliance issues.
Pay
$70.00 - $75.00 per hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at 1.5 times the base hourly rate for hours worked beyond 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law.
