Watch Engineer

About the role

This position involves maintaining the physical plant by repairing gas, electric, and steam appliances, inspecting and servicing HVAC, refrigeration, and boiler systems, and diagnosing electrical malfunctions. You will read and interpret meters and gauges, test closed-loop systems, and ensure system efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair gas, electric, and steam appliances
• Inspect and service HVAC, refrigeration, and boiler systems
• Diagnose electrical malfunctions
• Read and interpret meters and gauges
• Test closed-loop systems
• Ensure system efficiency and safety
• Follow safety policies and maintain professional appearance
• Support team collaboration
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting objects up to 50 pounds
• Use computers for various tasks
• Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

• HVAC, CFC, and possibly a plant operation license
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Adherence to safety standards

Qualifications

• Technical or trade school degree (preferred)
• At least 3 years of related experience (preferred)
• HVAC and CFC certifications (preferred)
