Wastewater Project Engineer (Mid-Level)

About the role

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking an experienced Wastewater Project Engineer for our Manchester, NH office. This position will join our wastewater team, working on a variety of infrastructure projects focused on treatment process design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of technical treatment strategies, selection of treatment processes, developing process design criteria, and delivering projects
• Aid in client coordination and collaboration
• Work on interdisciplinary teams to meet client needs
• Collaborate with internal technical specialists and design professionals for project delivery
• Prepare proposals and presentations
• Perform fieldwork and site visits as required, with occasional travel

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or mechanical engineering
• PE license
• 5-10 years of experience in wastewater-related infrastructure, including project engineering/management (planning, design, and construction)
• Proficient in MS Office-based computer software
• Experience in supporting projects spanning multiple years, on collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Civil/Environmental Engineering preferred
