Responsibilities
- Diagnose operating issues
- Make process control adjustments
- Perform or direct necessary corrective actions
- Aid in preparation of reports
- Collect samples
- Conduct laboratory testing to determine appropriate chemical dosing
- Maintain shift logs
- Perform all assigned and related duties as required
Requirements
- State of Washington Level III Wastewater Operator License desired or ability to obtain through testing within 12 months or reciprocity within 6 months of hire
- Four (4) years of experience in operating water/wastewater treatment plants
- Proficient in the use of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and to enter data into a maintenance management system
- Proficient in the use of plant SCADA systems and software
- Possess a valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience operating water/wastewater treatment plants
- Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools employed in the general operation of engines, pumps, valves, motors, and related equipment
- General maintenance work; safe work practices; principles and methods of biological and chemical sewage analyses, effects and problems of industrial waste in water/wastewater treatment processes, principles of supervision
- Knowledge of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, data management systems and be able to operate plant PLC’s and SCADA systems

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $70,200.00 to $84,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Shift scheduling is determined by need, and shift changes may be required to facilitate coverage.
