Responsibilities
- Perform labor related to repair and installation of wastewater facilities
- Use industry best practices for wastewater equipment installation and repair
- Operate testing or processing equipment of moderate complexity, and construct components or subassemblies
- Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and make simple repairs
- Any other duties assigned by management
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- An associate degree in a related field is preferred
- Three to six years' experience in the water and/or wastewater treatment facility operation and maintenance
- Ability to obtain certified drinking water operator licenses, Levels 1-4
- Ability to obtain certified collections operator licenses, Levels 1-4
- A good driving record
- Working knowledge of the principles, procedures, methods, equipment, materials, and tools employed in the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment, collection, and distribution systems
- Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions involved in water and wastewater treatment work
- Able to lift or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Knowledge of computer applications
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply instructions, drawings, and specifications for work assigned
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, other personnel, and the general public
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Pay
The projected range for this position is $35 to $43 hourly.
Schedule
This is a non-full-time, deployment-based on-call position across the United States. Team members are deployed to impacted sites as needed and may travel frequently on short notice. While the role requires physical presence at various disaster locations, it is not tied to a single office or fixed worksite.
