Wastewater Operations Team Lead

About the role

Operators Unlimited is seeking a Wastewater Operations Team Lead to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the wastewater industry, with 2+ years in a supervisor role. They must also possess an appropriate wastewater license, knowledge of environmental regulations and policies, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Leadership, management, and accountability for designated Wastewater Operations Specialists
• Complete quarterly one-on-one meetings with team members
• Run wastewater treatment plants within permit limits
• Support the Director of Operations
• Alternate wastewater operations scheduler
• Manage wastewater contractors
• Be action-oriented: enjoy working hard and seizing opportunities

• Assist the Wastewater Operations Department with scheduling
• Manage contract workers
• Safety compliance at the OU facility and throughout customer worksites
• Internal and external audits with minimal marks
• Achieve quarterly goals and weekly commitments

Requirements

• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Must be able to stoop, bend, and kneel to conduct inspections and carry equipment
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to work in an environmental setting

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the wastewater industry
• 2+ years in a supervisor role
• Appropriate wastewater license
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and policies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
