Wastewater Heavy Duty Maintenance Mechanic

About the role

Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department seeks a Heavy Duty Maintenance Mechanic to join its Wastewater Treatment Division. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect mechanical equipment
• Install, repair, and align heavy-duty industrial equipment
• Interpret and apply codes to work situations
• Prepare working sketches and estimates for projects
• Repair or operate specialized equipment such as pumps, blowers, and conveyors
• Maintain and service tools and equipment
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance staff
• Inspect and train equipment operators and maintenance staff

Requirements

• Five years of mechanical maintenance experience
• Three years of experience with Pima County as a Wastewater Maintenance Specialist II
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Six years of experience in industrial mechanical equipment
• Four years of experience in specialized and advanced maintenance
• Four years of experience using CMMS
• Four years of experience using Microsoft Office Suites

Qualifications

• Valid AZ driver license
• DOT Motor Vehicle Record review
