Wastewater Chemical Field Service Representative

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine service visits to customer sites to monitor chemical feed systems, adjust treatment programs, and ensure performance targets are met.
- Collect and analyze wastewater samples to assess system conditions and treatment effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues related to pumps, controllers, chemical feed equipment, and monitoring instruments.
- Maintain accurate service logs, field reports, and data records for customer accounts.
- Aid in the installation, calibration, and maintenance of chemical feed and monitoring systems.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, or enhanced treatment performance. Support account managers in preparing proposals, conducting performance reviews, and implementing new programs.
- Provide training and safety guidance to customer personnel on chemical handling and system operation.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, customer site requirements, and environmental regulations.
Education & Experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment, chemical service, or industrial maintenance.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes (biological, physical, and chemical) and regulatory standards.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to perform water testing and interpret analytical results.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and basic data entry tools.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service accounts.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and willingness to travel within assigned territory of 75 miles of Youngstown Ohio.
Working Conditions
- Field-based position; frequent travel to customer sites (industrial, food & beverage, municipal, or manufacturing facilities).
- Exposure to chemical handling environments, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.
- Occasional after-hours or emergency service calls may be required.
