About the role
Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions is seeking a Resident Field Service Representative to provide operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems across various industries.
Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical, electrical, and controls preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
- Consult with customer management and operation teams
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
- Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed
- Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications
- Perform analytical testing such as turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, and other site-specific testing requirements
- Assist in providing service activities including parts refurbishment, maintenance, calibration of equipment, inspection, repair, performance testing, customer communications, project assessment and execution, and telephone customer support
- Have the ability to work schedules that will fluctuate based on customer and business needs / demands
- Perform diagnostics testing, repairs, test and calibration routines on the instruments, and complete all required paperwork
- Collect payment information and generate shipping and billing paperwork
- Provide extensive equipment support and general hardware and software support
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of safety on the job, including the operation and maintenance of an assigned company vehicle (if applicable) and comply with all Veolia
- Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment.
- Valid Driver’s License
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams
- Strong technical, mathematical and customer service skills
- General knowledge of electrical equipment, water chemistry and safety
- Vision, manual dexterity and coordination sufficient to service instruments and handle
- electrical equipment
- Ability to learn applicable company procedures within a reasonable time from start of employment
- Computer proficiency with a minimum of word processing and spreadsheets, and basic data base knowledge
- Ability to use ordinary hand tools, calibrated tools, and analytical instrumentation, as well as chemically aggressive fluids, such as acids and bases
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, with the ability to drive projects to completion with minimal oversight, while demonstrating significant problem solving ability with an unfailing dedication to deadlines and commitments.
