Waste Handler I - 1st Shift

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely pick-ups of all waste and recycled materials and communicate with the requesters on pick-up timing and completion of the task.
• All waste handlers are responsible for the following as it relates to the facility’s hazardous, non-hazardous, medical, universal and recycling wastes.
• Perform required inspections.
• Attend all training as required.
• Ensure all waste handling areas are clean and in order.
• Communicate with the EH&S team.
• Ensure that all duties are carried out in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• All other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Possess a strong sense of urgency and the ability to multitask.
• Ability to work with others in a team setting as needed.
• Flexibility as it relates to daily work activities.
