About the role

Provide instructional services necessary to educate all students to high standards that align with district state and federal requirements guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district and state standards.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and support student learning.
  • Engage students in interactive and meaningful learning experiences.
  • Adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student progress.

Requirements

  • Valid Indiana teaching license for the assigned grade levels and/or subject areas OR eligibility to obtain an alternative teaching credential.
  • Indiana's Early Literacy Endorsement for teachers who teach retained grade 3 students.
  • Knowledge of effective practices including principles, theories, procedures, and techniques used in lesson plan development and classroom instruction.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • School Year
  • Work Hours: Elementary Schools - 7:45am-3:45pm; Middle and High Schools - 7:10am-3:10pm
