Washington-Barred Family Law Attorney (Contract and Fully Remote)
About the role
Latitude is seeking an experienced Washington-barred family law attorney to work with a well-established and respected law firm in Washington State on a completely remote basis. The law firm specializes in Family and Divorce, Wills and Estates, Criminal Law, Guardianship, Asset Protection Planning and Elder Law.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working on family law and/or estate planning matters
- Capable of working independently
- Excellent communication, speaking, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
- Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in Washington state
- Outstanding references
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in the office and in court and during legal proceedings, ensuring their rights and interests are effectively protected
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and provide sound legal advice
- Manage a caseload from initial consultation to resolution, including drafting and reviewing legal documents, preparing legal arguments, making court appearances and negotiating settlements
- Conduct legal consultations and provide expert legal advice to clients, explaining legal options, potential outcomes, and strategies pertaining to their case
- Ensure all legal practices and personal and professional conduct adhere to state and federal regulations and ethical requirements and stay updated on changes in the law
- Maintain clear and regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and promptly addressing their concerns
Pay
The annualized pay for this position ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference.
