Wash & Fuel Technician

About the role

The Wash, Fuel and Tire Technician ensures that all AutoZone tractors and trailers are cleaned and maintained. This includes inspecting and changing tires as needed, moving equipment between different facilities, and performing various maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Moves equipment from DC or fleet maintenance facility into the wash bay or repair facility.
• Ensures the parking lot and trash cans are kept neat and clean.
• Uses high pressure washer and wash brush to clean tractors and trailers throughout the shift.
• Moves equipment to outside repair facilities when needed.
• Empty trash cans and clean the parking lot.
• Inspects and replaces tractor and trailer tires as needed.
• Operates and handles power tools such as impact wrenches.
• Safely back up tractors with trailers.
• Assists the trailer mechanic(s) and/or diesel mechanics with light duty mechanic work for the purposes of training or as needed.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in all types of weather (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.).

Preferred

• Distribution/warehouse fleet maintenance experience.
• Previous operation of tractors.
