Pay
- Pay grade B6: $20.96 - $29.38 per hour, depending on experience
- Shift differential pay: $1 to $2.50 for nights and weekends
- $2,612.50 hiring bonus (2-year commitment, staggered-taxed payout)
Schedule
- 3 weekend day shifts (5 hours each, between 8am - 5pm)

About the Role
The Warmline Peer Support Operator provides confidential, non-judgmental, and non-critical support to callers while practicing the principles of Intentional Peer Support (IPS). This role operates under the general direction of the assigned Warmline Supervisor and receives guidance from a Shift Leader.
Responsibilities
- Take calls from individuals across the state and provide phone support as trained by CCS
- Participate in ongoing training, team-building, and work closely with Shift Leaders in an evolving work environment
- Maintain accurate data logs, enter data, and present warmline activity professionally
- Write reports for the Warmline Shift Leader or assigned Warmline Supervisor as needed
- Provide information in a timely and professional manner
- Handle highly confidential information while adhering to client confidentiality rules and laws
- Communicate effectively in both written and oral formats, including routine, complex, and confidential information
- Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher), digital logs, conference calls, email, and office automation (printers, fax, multi-phone lines)
Requirements
- Must identify as a person with lived experience of having big feelings and provide support to others through difficult times
- Must possess a certificate for completion of the Core Training in Intentional Peer Support (IPS)
- Must become registered with the Oregon Health Authority Traditional Health Worker registry as a Peer Support Specialist within the first 6 months of employment
- Demonstrate a working understanding of the Warmline’s purpose through training role-plays and ongoing skill development
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Participate in ongoing trainings and meetings as assigned
- Adhere to all policies and procedures
- Strong communication, teamwork, and feedback skills
- Fundamental awareness or willingness to learn about cross-cultural issues, dual diagnosis/addictions, and effects of PTSD/trauma
- Must pass a criminal background check as required by ORS 181.536-181.537 and OAR 410-007-0200 through 410-007-0380
- Monthly checks against OIG, GSA exclusion lists, and other federal/state agency lists
- Pre-hire drug screening required
Physical Demands
- Regular use of office automation, including computers and phone systems requiring fine manipulation, grasping, typing, and reaching
- Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear; use hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or squat
Work Environment
Work is performed in sponsored locations provided by funding counties. The environment may expose the employee to typical risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions (e.g., moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, electrical shock).
