Warehouseperson II
About the role
We are hiring a Warehouse II in San Leandro, CA. The position offers a competitive salary range of $23.00/hr - $25.00/hr, comprehensive family benefits, and early access to benefits starting after 30 days of employment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse/material handling equipment.
- Supports the stocking, storing, labeling, picking/packing, and distribution of materials and supplies.
- Validates delivery of materials and provides a physical receipt.
- Contributes to periodic inventory of warehouse materials.
- Organizes and maintains site warehouse inventoried items.
- Review incoming and outgoing product invoices per Company policy.
- Loads and unloads service trucks with gas cylinders, containers, and supplies for scheduled route deliveries in coordination with the dispatcher.
- Committed to adherence to company policies, including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you build positive relationships with customers, vendors, co-workers, and management.
Requirements
- Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to push and/or pull up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand/walk for 8 to 10 hours.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Two to five years of prior experience in warehouse operations preferred.
- Strong background in gas, welding, and safety supply or chemical industry preferred.
- Prior Experience Operating a Forklift Is Preferred.
