About the role
Fills customers’ orders in accordance with specifications on order form. Receives and reads customer order to identify item(s) to be pulled. Verifies stock availability. Operates warehouse machinery in accordance with established procedures to obtain item(s) in stock from shelves. Prepares orders for wrapping and delivery, maintains records, and ensures work area complies with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Fills orders in accordance with specifications on order form (85% of role).
- Picks orders using lift or order picker.
- Loads and unloads trucks.
- Prints labels and inventory tickets.
- Initiates cycle count requests when inventory variances are detected.
- Bands/wraps orders for delivery.
- Completes import/export paperwork as necessary.
- Processes orders using Pitney Bowes.
- Maintains a valid driver’s license.
- Reports unsafe conditions to Team Leader.
- Demonstrates high safety awareness, including defensive driving skills.
- Maintains good attendance and works all posted overtime.
- Completes replenishment cards and replenishes materials into proper locations (10% of role).
- Repairs pallets.
- Performs daily maintenance on warehouse equipment (e.g., charging, cleaning batteries).
- Maintains warehouse environment in a neat and orderly manner (5% of role).
- Cross-trains in shipping, receiving, and cutting (shears).
- Utilizes UPS/FedEx portals (computer-based).
Requirements
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum).
- 3–6 months’ manufacturing or warehouse experience.
- Willingness to train on forklift (sit-down and stand-up); certification provided.
- Forklift experience is a plus; pay rate increase offered upon certification.
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Basic computer skills.
Skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Operation of straight lift, order picker, and reach equipment.
Pay
USD $18.57 per hour. Pay rate increase offered upon forklift certification.
Schedule
6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime required.
