Warehouse Workers- Part Time Seasonal - Day Hours

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Aid in the production of book fairs by packing metal cases, boxes, and displays.
• Pack all components and sub-components for all cases, boxes, and displays according to corporate process and procedure.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards for all tasks performed.
• Ensure all outbound cases, boxes, and displays are clean, safe, and in good condition.
• Process returned book fairs by unpacking metal cases, boxes, and displays.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure book fairs can be properly packed.
• Demonstrate basic scanner proficiency, including item inquiries and requesting replenishment.
• Aid in the picking and packing of customer reorders.
• Maintain a neat, clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Participate in seasonal inventory production-line resets.
• Learn and demonstrate proficiency in Fair Finishing and Assembly functions, including Quality Assurance scanning.
• Conduct Physical Inventory functions, including counting inventory.
• Assist in Customer Appreciation Warehouse Sale Events.
• Handle merchandise carefully at all times.
• Utilize proper techniques for lifting, packing, and handling heavy objects, climbing ladders, and pushing/pulling display cases.
• Accurately and timely complete Labor Data Collection Cards according to company standards.
• Operate motorized pallet jacks upon successful completion of the SBF power equipment training program.
• Maintain attendance and punctuality as required by assigned work schedule and within company standards.
• Maintain a courteous and positive relationship with all co-workers and customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
• Basic product scanner proficiency (ordering replenishment) with minimal errors.
• Strong team player and ability to get along with co-workers.
• Good verbal/written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read documents in English.
• Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally, and up to 30 lbs to a height of 70” occasionally.
• Ability to push wheeled cases weighing in excess of 300 lbs with an initial force of up to 50 lbs and a sustained force of up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to stand, reach, squat, bend, and kneel as necessary to perform the job.
• Ability to tolerate work in a non-air conditioned environment.
• Accurately follow specific instructions for multiple detailed assembly processes.
