Warehouse Worker- Warehouse Associate- 2nd shift

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and various warehouse equipment
• Transport stored items between warehouse and plants, or pick up items from multiple locations for shipment
• Accurately match numbers and letters, stage and sort products for loading, stack cardboard boxes and pallets, and move materials within the warehouse
• Package or kit finished products for shipping, shrink wrap, box, label, and electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Ensure damaged products are identified and removed upon receipt, complete daily logs, and communicate with associates from other shifts
• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information, read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs, record numbers of units handled and moved, and assemble product containers and crates using hand tools and precut lumber
• Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers, weigh or count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards, and use a computer to enter records
• Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• Flexible to work weekends and holidays
• Willingness to work overtime, including extended daily hours or additional work days
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Able to work independently, handle customer service situations, multi-task, organize, be flexible, manage time, and have excellent numerical and time management skills
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
• The ability to accept responsibility for one's own safety and the safety of others is required
• Physical requirements include moving frequently, standing, walking, and sitting, lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally, and remembering and understanding certain instructions, guidelines, or other information
