Warehouse Worker - Warehouse Associate - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack parts accurately to prevent damage, following processes that may occasionally deviate
• Physically and systematically place inbound freight, following processes that may occasionally deviate
• Report product discrepancies, variances (over/under amounts), and damaged product
• Conduct searches to locate misclassified inventory
• Escalate issues timely and directly to supervisor
• Operate the following equipment after training and certification:
  • Reach Truck
  • Pallet Jack (electrical or manual)
  • Cherry Picker / Stock Chaser
• Accurately match numbers and letters
• Follow all safety requirements
• Stage and sort products for loading
• Open and close dock doors
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Sort and place parts in racks or other designated areas
• Stack cardboard boxes and pallets
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Scan and count parts
• Complete all other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• No prior warehouse experience required (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions
• Ability to work independently, with strong customer service, multitasking, organizational, and time management skills
• Flexibility to work overtime (preferred)
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to work the required schedule and at the specified location
• Complete a Penske employment application, background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening
• This position is designated as safety-sensitive; associates must maintain a constant state of alertness and work safely
• Ability to accept responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remember and understand instructions, guidelines, or other information
• Ability to see and verbally communicate, with specific vision requirements including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting
• Frequent use of hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg

Pay

• Base rate: $20.00 per hour
• Shift differential: $1.00 per hour

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
• Occasional overtime and Saturday work as required by business needs
